Deputy Director of the Drug Policy Analysis Program at UCLA, former drug policy fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. Served 20 years in federal prison for allegedly producing "90% of the world's LSD". Presently he is Senior Scientific Advisor to the biotechnology fund JLS, and on the board of the Fireside Project.
